Chillin' at the mall

In practice you should never let your kids ride the carousel in the shopping centre, because they will inevitably want to do it every time you go back.  However, we had to do it, just this once...
Is it just us, or do her pig tails look like some children's Japanese anime girl (the way they stick up and out like that)?

You should also never tell them what to look for in a new television display...

"Dad, I thought you said if we can't afford that Astro 4k monitor, you'd be content with one that could handle 1080p60, with a 25k:1 contrast ratio, and has the new ref HDMI 1.3b1 ports and 100hz refresh rate! "

the moment you've all been waiting for

VIDEO OF AMELIA WALKING!!! Yup, she was about 10 months old when she started walking independently....well, she could take 2 steps and tumble. But now its the real deal. Unedited in all its glory.

Six years long, and still going strong!!

Happy Anniversary Brad.  It's been six wonderful years!  Wow!  Can't believe it's been so long.  Time has just wizzed by.  I can remember the day that we first met, all those terribly awkward moments trying to figure out what to say to catch each others attention.  I always loved that you would come down to Provo from Salt Lake on the weekends to "hang out with your brother."  I could always see right through that.  Our first date to Thai Ruby...(totally recommend it to anyone out there!)  I remember the first time we held hands, the first time we kissed, the first time you told me you loved me (in an email...sheesh!)  And then you caught me with that amazing proposal and I thought, "Wow!"  And now I sit here, six years later with our daughter at my side/on my lap/on the floor, she is just as eager to type on this computer as I am.  If we can make it this far, we can do anything!  We've done good!  Can't wait for the rest of our lives!  I love you!  And always will!

Look what we got!  A beautiful family!

I love you because you are Amelia's daddy.

I love you because you have always loved me!

I love you for the little things you do for me!

I love you because you love the outdoors.

I love that you always try your best to support our family.

I have always loved you because you love to have fun.

Piggies!!!

OK, This just cracked me up!  I had to post these!  Amelia now has enough hair on the sides to pull them into pig tails!  And I just couldn't resist!
How cute is she?
Of course, her hair is still to fine to hold them in, but hey, I'm still gonna try!

DUMMIES!!!

Daddy came bearing presents!  Brad returned with a few more packages of dummies/pacifiers/binkies, whatever you want to call them, because we seem to have a bad habit of losing them.  And since these are the only ones that she will take and you can not buy them here in Australia, it was good that Brad brought more back!

Just follow the trail to Amelia!

This one's not bad!

I had to add this photo, because I think it really shows how much her face has changed in the last little while.  She is getting so grown up!

One for each hand...

Hmmm...which one now?

Action shots

I know this doesn't take the place of video...but right now this is the best we could do to get you some action shots of Amelia walking.  She is loving it!  She totally prefers to walk instead of crawl now and she is getting more steady.  I think Brad was a little shocked to return home and see how well she was getting around.  I think she is just trying to grow up too fast.  I can't imagine what she will be like when she wants to wear make-up...YIKES!!

Happy Birthday Brad!

Brad has been on business in Las Vegas for the last week and we had the joy of receiving him home on  his birthday!  It was great fun.  Brad is turning 28 years old this year!  Can't believe how fast the time has flown.  Happy Birthday Brad!  We love you and can't wait to share the next 28 years!  MWAA!

Amelia was excited to see daddy, but would have much rather been on the floor showing him how she can walk and not wear that stupid party hat!

Visitors in the crib...

Amelia had some lovely visitors in her crib the other day.  Isobel and Joseph decided to pop in to say hello.

Pacifier, Binky, or Dummy?

Hmmm....what's it gonna be?
