Busy afternoon...

And here we have a typical afternoon.  I am afraid Amelia is going to be quite bored when we finally move back into our own place.

Amelia stealing food off of Joseph's tray.

Isobel gives Amelia a driving lesson.

What's a steering wheel?

"What about this?  What does this do?"

Isobel-"And then the car moves forward like this!"

Off to new adventures.

Climbing the stairs!
Amelia has learned and mastered climbing up the stairs...now we just need to work on coming back down.

Almost there!

Hello!

Nap time

I love being a mom.  I love all the busy times, I love all the crying times (though, not in the middle of them), I love all the laughing times, but most of all I love the sleeping times.  There is nothing more beautiful than a sleeping child.  Amelia is a very busy, active little girl that doesn't like to snuggle very often, so I admit, one of my favourite moments is when I am rocking her to sleep.  Yes, I still rock her to sleep for every sleep that she has...and I love it!!!  It's the only time I can really hold her close without her pushing away.  I love just looking at her and thinking, "this is REALLY my child."   I love just knowing that she is mine.  I love just holding her close and kissing her forehead.  I love feeling her breathe.  I just love this little girl!!!

New Crib!

Amelia is finally sleeping in a real crib (it's the first time in her life), and was a steal of a deal! The crib was AU$60 floor stock clearance at Toys 'R Us.  An absolutely unheard of price in Australia.  And we just bought this mattress from Ikea on Saturday, so Amelia is sleeping so much better, and Kim can use the bumper pad that she made ages ago.  FINALLY!!!

Here is Brad comings from the train, pushing Amelia, her mattress, and her new high chair...all from IKEA.  Yeah, we look like bums, but we're having fun doing it.

Telling more stories (as usual)

And just having an all-around good time!!

Dinner time!

Story time

Typical example of a night with Amelia:

"So you wanna hear what happened to me today?"

"Ok, so I was walking down the street (well, my parents were pushing my pram) and then this really big dog started barking!"

"I'm not kidding - it was huge!  I thought it was going to eat me!"

Isobel - "It wasn't that big...maybe only about this big."

Amelia - "Hey!  Stop!  I'm telling the story!"

"Don't listen to her, she has no idea what she is talking about!"

"So, like I was saying, the dog was huge...."

Pay back...

...for all the times Brad takes pictures of me and Amelia sleeping!

How I love this little girl!!!

Everyday, Brad and I are so happy that we have this little girl in our lives.  It seems that it took ages to finally be blessed with such a happy, loving, friendly, and beautiful child!  We couldn't be happier.  She changes everyday and we can hardly believe how fast at that.  I don't want to miss a single moment, and yet can't quite seem to make them all last.  Miracles do happen, we are reminded of that everyday that we hear her laugh or see her smile.  Thank you, Amelia, for joining our family.  Thank you for the joy that you bring to us, and everyone around you everyday!
