Night at the Museum SNEAK PREVIEW

For the Carraway's Christmas present, Brad scored 10 tickets to the Friday, 4pm sneak preview of the fun, new movie, "NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM", playing at the National Geographic Grosvenor Theatre (a week before it comes out!). All the kids got t-shirts, flashlights, movie posters, and fleece blankets (too bad the adults didn't get any of the SWAG). Needless to say, they all thought Brad was the coolest cat with all the hook-ups...

UPDATE-fighting Malaria with the big wigs...

President George W. Bush, joined by Laura Bush, addresses participants at the first-ever White House Summit on Malaria, Thursday, Dec, 14, 2006, at the National Geographic Society in Washington, D.C.

"President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush" and a host of other "celebrities, experts and political leaders will join forces at a summit to mobilize governments and the private sector to fight malaria in Africa....The summit will take place at the National Geographic Society" tomorrow, Thursday, December 14th.

There are also rumors that BONO (from U2 fame) will make an appearance at some point.

So, anyway, I'll be there (since it'll be in the lobby of the building I work in) to snap pix and be the head groupie trying to get up close and personal with Bill & Melinda Gates, Condi Rice, and the Bush's...pending I can hurry up the body cavity search, glide through the metal detectors they've put up, and smile my way past the already mounting number of Secret Service who are setting up shop all over the place.

Tonight we decided to take the kids up to the Temple to see all the pretty Christmas lights. Here are a few photos:

Day after Thanksgiving rush

On the day after Thanksgiving this year, instead of rushing to the stores to get the best deals, we rushed with Brandon and Felicia to the Smithsonians...Natural History Museum to be exact. It was fun to see Brandon and Felicia again but the crowds were insane!!! It was shoulder to shoulder most of the museum.

Afterwards we split up for lunch while Brandon and Felicia went to the Holocaust museum. On the way to find a little cafe we passed the FBI building and couldn't help but stop for a photo opportunity.

New Puppy

When we got home from visiting the Smithsonians with Brandon and Felicia we discovered that the Carraway family had recieved an early Christmas present...a brand new little puppy! He is so fun and only makes Kim more jealous to get our own little dog.
Here is Brandon and Carson taking their turns showing off little Bo.

FINALLY! Gosh!

Yes, it's true. The buzz in the air that we are FINALLY having a baby is true. Kim is about 12 weeks along and the baby is expected to make their big debut around May 22. We are both thrilled and couldn't be more excited. We went to see the doctor on the 25 of October and heard the heartbeat for the first time. It was really exciting. We now know for sure that it's real! We are so excited and can't wait to meet this little person.

Halloween Rocker!

Have you ever wondered what Brad would look like with hair? WHOA!!

the race is on

Two Saturday's ago we took David out to see his daughter's (Molly) cross country meet. The meet took place out at Oatlands Plantation, about a 45 minute drive west of here. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful drive. We were able to see all the fall leaves and enjoy the beauty of the country side. Molly did an awesome job. We are so proud of her.

Here is Kim soaking in the sun.

White House Squirrels

These squirrels go bonkers for all the nuts lying around. Easily lured onto your knee, as you can see. Too bad our RAZR phones weren't quicker with the video capture...Brad had one jump from the ground to his waist (while he was standing) and ran up his arm before he flicked it off! Kim had one bat a nut right out from between her fingers.

Lockdown

Oxygen Channel Special With Lisa Ling

All Roads Film Festival at NatGeo HQ

We volunteered for the 3rd Annual All Roads Film Festival this last Saturday (some of you may remember that Brad was one of the coordinators for the 1st one back in '04)

This guy showed us how to make obsidian arrowheads (obsidian shatters at the molecular level, which makes it one of the sharpest blades in the world...)

During a lull, we went up to the 5th floor to check out Brad's pad

For lunch we ran over to the Burger King and swung inside the Renwick Art Gallery (one of the many Smithsonian owned buildings around DC) for kicks

Fun at the Carraway's!
