The Queen visits Sydney on Commonwealth Day

Well, it was another one of those moments that found us downtown in the midsts of onlookers without a camera as we come out of a Kwik Kopy (like Kinko's) and see thousands throng the closed-off streets of Sydney waiting for The Queen to drive on by. Lucky for us we received an SMS tip from Sharon Smith that such an event was unfolding in our favourite city, so we made haste to add another "claim to fame."

Right about the time we walked up to the street, the loud police sirens began and the motorcade commenced down the street. After about 5 motorcycles, the Royal Rolls Royce (who knows what its proper term is) drove by us and we looked in and saw The Queen waving at us in her bright green outfit and hat.

So, yeah, we were only about 5 metres (~16 feet) away from the monarch of 53 Commonwealth countries around the world.
