HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

BEFORE

AFTER

Well, its 2006 already here in Sydney (its 1:57am at the time of writing). We just got back from the SWEETEST fireworks show EVER! Then we had to fight our way through the millions of people and chaos on the streets of downtown Sydney to come post this picture before we hit the sack.

Suzie was so gracious to lend us her old digi-cam (too bad not her cool new one!) to capture the fireworks, and of the 47 the camera let us take, only this one was semi in focus. What a shame! If we had our D70 it would have been tight!

If you can make out the big red heart shape on the Harbour Bridge, and the heart shaped explosions, they represents the "Heart of the Harbour", the theme for this years big party. Hope you all have a great time in 15 hours or so until you can celebrate! Good night...

Here is supposedly the largest Australian flag ever made, being flown over the Habour via two helicopters (no zoom on this cam):

and Kim being cute:

The massive crowds that we waited with for 14 hours!

Fragments DVD cover

Here's the Fragments DVD cover. It shows off the new Fragments logo (heaps better than that green rubbish we quickly put together and used for the 'trailer'). UPDATED with a credit to the sweetest band ever, Asher, who so kindly allowed us to use their music as our soundtrack (thanks BEN!!!)

The 1st public screening of Fragments was last night (18 Nov)! Holy cow, we were not expecting the response we got. Everyone really liked it and we got a lot of complements afterwards that it "was easily the best one shown." We'll try not to let it get to our heads...

The 2nd screening will be this coming Thursday, 24 Nov (Thanksgiving for all you Americans out there...) 7pm, at the Star Bar in downtown Sydney:

(oh yeah, one last thing...we're making "Fragments" logo t-shirts, if you want to order one, let us know. Blue/white logo on black or white t-shirt. Pretty stylin'. Like surfer shirts. Sweet az! We know Korbin will buy like 30 of 'em and hand 'em out at school....won't ya?!)

FRAGMENTS TRAILER!!!

Finally, as we have promised for weeks...the trailer to our short film, "Fragments". Please let us know what you think at:

wilsonkimbrad@gmail.com

SYNOPSIS (for those out of the loop - and no, it won't make sense or else we'd have to give away the whole plot!):
Hayden and Katelynn have just come to Sydney so Hayden can attend film school. The film depicts their struggle to come up with an idea for a short film for a class assignment in a weeks time.

We recommend you allow the trailer to download completely (watch the gray bar). So pause it before it plays automatically so it won't ruin the viewing experience.

Enjoy the show!
Tell your friends!
Pass it along!
Make it famous by word of mouth!

LUNAtik

Here's our B/W 16mm timelapse film shot at Luna Park, Sydney at night. Its a pretty hectic "telecine" job (if you can call it that - more like a quick capture off a projector screen...hence the crappy quality and over exposure). Anyway, it looks better projected on film, obviously. Enjoy!

Chinaman's Beach

While we were on a picnic with the Smith's we went down to the water and found heaps of hermit crabs. They were everywhere! As you can imagine, Brad was in heaven! I don't think he'll ever really outgrow his childhood.
